I will continue to use this as a concealer (base?) because I really, really like the result for that purpose. In addition to making the skin look smoother and more even, it also has moisturizing ingredients, so that your skin does not dry out even if you have makeup on. So for me, this product is an either/or type product for me meaning either use this by itself or use concealer. YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint - BR40 Cool Sand is an exclusive foundation, with medium opacity that hides small impurities and beauty defects in a natural way. I know it sounds like I really love the product (and I do!) and I’m trying to talk myself out of it, but I’m not I’m just saying, from a practical standpoint, it’s not a necessity (what is these days?). I just feel like after packing the powder on, everything on my face will be matte, so maybe it doesn’t really even make a difference. I can’t really tell, which probably means after I run out of this, it may or may not be a re-buy, I haven’t decided yet. Does it cover my eyebags up better? Maybe. I just found that in the end, a regular old concealer under my eyes works just fine and using a color corrector is probably an unnecessary (and expensive) step for me. That said, I don’t need to be blown away by something to love it! I swatched quite a few correctors before settling on this one, including the Sephora Bright Future Color Corrector in Melon (which I ended up buying anyway review for that coming soon) and Becca’s Backlight Targeted Corrector in Papaya. I imagine if I had dark circles, this would work great at neutralizing the darkness. As you can imagine, a good reason being it was not used for its intended purpose. YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer Colour Corrector- Apricot Bisque (final result)Īs excited I was about these color correctors, I am pretty surprised to hear myself say that I wasn’t completely blown away by these. I used my Giorgio Armani Maestro Fusion foundation. You will notice an obvious costume change (haha) in the previous photos, I ran out of time for work… the process was the same except I applied my foundation first. YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer Colour Corrector- Apricot Bisque (with concealer over) YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer Colour Corrector- Apricot Bisque (blended) YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer Colour Corrector- Apricot Bisque (applied) In the last two photos, you’ll see how it looks with a full face, with Ben Nye Banana Powder to finish it off. In the photos below, I show the color corrector applied, blended out, and with Eve Pearl Salmon concealer applied. I blend a little bit with the actual brush before using a concealer brush to pat it down. I LOVE (yes in all caps) the formula! It’s nice and thick and pigmented and as I said it dries down matte. Now I do own the Touche Eclat highlighter, but as far as concealers (the way I am using this) I like this color corrector much better than the highlighter under my eyes because there is no shine to it, whereas the highlighter tends to just highlight my bags. Violet: Corrects yellow dull skin for a healthy glow. Green: Corrects blemishes, conceals redness for an even skin tone.īisque: Corrects dark circles and dark spots. YSL Touche Eclat Neutralizer Colour Corrector- Apricot Bisque I was most interested in the YSL Violet Touche Eclat, but after swatching, I quickly realized Apricot Bisque was the one for me, based on what I wanted to use it for. I really don’t technically have a use for them the way most people use them: to conceal dark circles, so I use them to brighten up my eye area where my horrible bags reside. The radiance-boosting flecks melt into your foundation for a lit-from-within effect - making it incredibly easy to see why the original gold primer has won over so many Sephora shoppers.Color correctors have gotten so much hype lately. Whereas some modern primers can be worn with or without foundation on top, the silver Touche Éclat primer shines when you layer complexion products over its glitzy formula. Retailing at $52 per 1-ounce tube, the new (but just as shimmery) version of the luxe primer glimmers with visible silver flecks, suspended in the silicone-based formula. The just-released Touche Éclat Blur Primer Silver is the cool-toned version of the cult-favorite Blur Primer Gold - which currently has a 4.4-star rating at the beauty retailer out of more than 2,000 reviews. The latter of which may inspire a trip to Sephora's website all on its own. 1 - YSL Beauty's new Touche Éclat drop: the 3D All Over Glow Powder and Blur Primer Silver.
